More like this... (Similar Pages, Related Pages)

On the second pass through the search engines, you will be using the "Similar Pages" feature found on several of the search engines.

Search engines often keep track of keywords that appear together on webpages. It is quite possible that other keywords exist that you may not have considered. Using this feature should turn up some other "hits" you may not have yet seen. You can use the same keywords you used earlier or modify that group of words now. Use the cut and paste method described earlier to insure that you are using an identical search string.

Note: The availability and specific term used for this feature changes from time to time as the search engines redesign their sites. For example, Google now calls this feature "Similar Pages". Google displays this feature on the results page right below the page description. Using slightly different approach, Ask displays a list of keywords and phrases on the right side of the screen to Narrow or Expand Your Search. Yahoo provides a link to the related Category in the Yahoo index.

Add your observations on using this technique to your digital logbook and add bookmarks when you find appropriate resources.
