Search engine help files

The search engines themselves offer Help, Hints or Tips information. These offer very specific information about how to best use the advanced search features available on the search engine.

These Help files are not as prominently displayed as they once used to be. You may have to search around a bit on the search engine site to find these files. Recently, many search engines have moved these files to their About section which is typically located near the bottom of the search engine home page.

The Help files are also typically available when you select the Advanced Search screens.

Visit each of the search engines and locate the Help files. Print the Help files for the search engines that you usually use.

Search Engines

When you finish, you will have a comprehensive reference file that you can keep near your computer to guide your use of Boolean Operators in the next pass through the search engines.
