Export Netscape Bookmarks

Navigate to the File menu. Select Save As. When the Save As dialog box appears, select the desktop as the destination for the file. Now, change the default bookmarks.htm file name to your first initial followed by your last name (example: bjost.htm) Important Note: Use only lower-case letters. Do not use any spaces and be sure to include the .htm suffix. Save the renamed bookmarks file. Navigate to the desktop where you saved the exported bookmarks and open it with Netscape. You should see your entire Bookmarks file displayed as a webpage on your screen. Clicking on the links should take you to the associated webpage. You will notice that this process exported your entire Bookmarks list. If you are using Netscape Communicator versions 4 or 6, you can use Netscape Composer to edit the webpage, removing the folders and bookmarks that you do not wish to include. With your bookmarks page displayed on the screen, click on the File menu and select Edit Page. Netscape Composer, a simple webpage editing tool, will open in a new window. Select and delete the portions of the webpage that you do not wish to keep. Save the page and close Netscape Composer. Click on the Reload button on the web browser to reload the edited version of your exported bookmarks list.
